NJCFSC Academic Honors Team
 

Applicants for this award must meet the following requirements:

  1. Be a  home-club member of a New Jersey figure skating club
  2. Be a junior or senior attending an accredited school full-time
  3. Have passed at least the novice test in one discipline of figure skating or in their junior of senior year have competed as a Novice, Junior, or Senior
  4. Maintain a minimum 3.4 grade point average 

Scholarship applicants are required to submit a 500-word essay on one of five listed topics.  They must also submit official transcripts and a resume describing their skating accomplishments, extracurricular activities, work experience, and community service hours.

Candidates are screened and selected by a panel of highly qualified education professionals who also have experience with the sport of figure skating.

Scholarship amounts depend on funds available in a given award year.

Grace Moore Competitive Assistance Scholarship Awards
 


The competitive assistance scholarship awards honor the memory of Grace Moore, a national figure skating judge and active member of the New Jersey skating community. 

The requirements for consideration for a skater assistance award are that the skater maintains a New Jersey US Figure Skating club as their HOME CLUB, and that the skater must also have competed in US Figure Skating qualifying competitions for at least two years for a Senior Scholarship (Novice through Senior) and at least one year for a Junior Scholarship (Juvenile through Intermediate). Awards encompass the figure skating disciplines of freestyle, pairs and dance.  It does not consider synchronized skating experience. Awards are based on skating achievement in the above named disciplines in relation to age, progress, and attitude.

NJCFSC Synchronized Skating Team Grants
 


Grants are awarded to New Jersey synchronized skating teams that have competed in a qualifying competition.  Teams must apply each year for the grant.  Grant amounts vary depending on the funds available in a given year.

NJCFSC Officials Development & Education Program

This grant program supports the education and development of U.S. Figure Skating officials.  Judges, referees, and other competition officials are volunteers who pay their own expenses for training, testing, and education.  The NJCFSC Officials Development & Education Program assists New Jersey judges and other competition officials by providing opportunities for advancement through educational support.
