2009/2010 Accademic Honors Team Application

Application Deadline: December 1, 2009

The New Jersey Council of Figure Skating Clubs and the NJCFSC Scholarship Committee are pleased to announce the seventh annual NJCFSC Academic Honors Team. The program is designed to recognize student-athletes who are members in good standing of the United States Figure Skating Association and a home club member of a New Jersey Council member club.

46th Annual NJC FSC Competition

2008-2009 Eastern
Synchronized Skating Challenge Series
lf you recall last fall, the USFS announced a pilot program for those Eastern Section team levels that do not advance beyond sectionals beginner, preliminary, pre-juvenile, open juvenile, open junior, open adult and open collegiate levels. Teams would select three non-qualifying competitions throughout the season and would earn"series points" for their placements at these events. The winning teams would receive a championship trophy, and the athletes on the top three teams would receive each receive a medal. All participants would receive a pin recognizing their participation.

New Jersey Skaters Excel at
2009 US Junior Nationals in Lake Placid


New Jersey skaters competed at the 2009 US Junior Nationals in Lake Placid, New York December 8 through December 13. These skaters advanced based on their placements at North Atlantic Regionals. Their results are listed below.

Intermediate Ladies - Final Round
Monika Chung - North Jersey Skating Club - 16th. Overall

Intermediate Men - Qualifying Round
Alexander Bjelde - Skating Club of Southern NJ - 16th place

Intermediate Pairs - Final Round

45th Annual NJCFSC Championships June 6-8 2008
